VBS is almost here again.

Next week we are starting our VBS. It is going to be big and it is going to be fun.

As I sit in my very quiet house, I am listening to the wind whistle and blow strongly tonight. I always worry about that trampoline blowing over!

I think of the One the wind obeys, our Father in Heaven, our Savior and Friend. In life we feel those strong winds blow and scatters all of our neatly stacked plans. It shakes us up, maybe wakes us up. Maybe it touches us deep into our soul - our very being. Falling to our knees, we know it is HIM. Then there are times we can look back and feel the slightest, seemingly insignificant breeze. Fall to your knees, for it is HIM. He is in all things. He is always at work in you and me.

Oh God, turn our faces to you, we want to see the One whom the wind obeys.
Breathe on us, Father.

2009 - Happy New Year!

Hi to all out in blogging world. Happy New Year to all. Our Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year was wonderful and I am going to get some pics up really soon. Got back to school this week - we had a good week. Jacob and Laura Rose are enjoying their new toys. And I got an IPOD for Christmas - I love it, so I am enjoying my new toys, too! :)

Secret Things, revealed

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of the law. Deuteronomy 29:29


As I study God's Word I am so excited about the understanding that the Spirit gives me! It is wonderful to know that when you ask for understanding and wisdom He will give it to you. I love this verse and had to share it. When I read it today, it touched my heart so much. I want so much to pass down the 'revealed things' to my children, just as my parents and grandparents have done. No generational bondage, but generational freedom in Christ for my children and my grandchildren. In Jacob's words about family, "it keeps going and going." Always my prayer.

I had lunch with the cutest Pilgrim!

Last Monday Jacob and I had lunch with his sweet first grade class. We had a wonderful time. He was the most handsome pilgrim! His teacher said he made that cute hat, and he was class president that day, also. I love you Jacob!
